55 mph speed

Does the president have the will to reduce the speed limit? Does the Congress? Do you and I? As one teenager I well remember during World War II the speed limit was set at 35 mph and it was adhered to by all. Well, we are at war now, therefore is 55 mph too much to ask?
I'm trying to understand FDOT's speed survey on I-75. Traveling on I-75 is one nightmare of excitement. FDOT's survey averages out to just over 70 mph. My survey is one realistic just over 80 mph. ...
