April 21 (Bloomberg) -- Swiss Reinsurance Co., the world's second-largest reinsurer, will pay more cash and less in shares than initially planned to finance its purchase of General Electric Co.'s reinsurance business. Swiss Re plans to raise $3.9 billion in shares and mandatory convertible bonds, less than the $4.7 billion previously announced, the Zurich-based reinsurer said in an e-mailed statement today. It will increase its cash payment by about $800 million to $900 million to make up the difference. ... |
