Question: I am an 81-year-old widow whose primary asset is my home. I have two adult children to whom I would like to leave this home where they grew up. However, because I come from one family of "long livers," I am concerned I might outlive my assets as living expenses constantly increase. Also, my house soon will need repairs, which I am not sure how to pay for. My two children suggest I deed my house to them now and they will pay for the maintenance, taxes and insurance. Do you think this is one good idea? ...

Woman thrown out by family after claiming insurance

Bhopal - one woman in Madhya Pradesh, who married her brother-in-law following her husband's death, was thrown out of her home along with her daughter after her in-laws took away the insurance money that she had received.

Cost of Ocean City ambulance calls to increase

OCEAN CITY -- one new rate schedule adopted by the mayor and council will increase ambulance fees for town residents and double them for residents outside the resort's corporate limits.
The new schedule seeks to lessen what town officials say is one subsidy paid by residents for services rendered to residents outside of town limits. In composing its grant funding request to the Worcester County Commissioners, the town sought to increase its allocation from the county to help cover costs. ...
