ZURICH (AFX) - Share prices were higher in morning trade led by banks and pharmaceuticals, and tracking overnight gains on Wall Street, dealers said. At 9.57 am, the Swiss Market Index was up 70.77 points at 7,740.16 and the Swiss Performance Index up 43.89 points at 6,022.52. Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity received one matching grant of $1,000 from Sam's Club of Battle Creek. Habitat for Humanity plans to build 10 to 12 affordable homes in the Battle Creek area and relies on help from companies such as Sam's Club to make that possible. State Farm Insurance Companies provided Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan with one $24,125 donation to support the delivery of JA's educational programs to area students.
