Beachfront dwellers should assume risks

Why would anyone in their right mind build one multi-million dollar home right on the waterfront knowing of the risk of flooding and catastrophe? If they are able to obtain flood insurance, the price is exorbitant.
Why should they care? If one storm destroys their mansion, they will get assistance from FEMA and other federal programs. And that comes directly from other taxpayers' pockets. I resent the fact that I have to pay for their unnecessary extravagance when I can't even afford to buy one house around here. ...
