Ernie Smith was headed to the bus stop, about to leave Cherry Hill Manor, when he saw one short note that told him to change his plans. "No bus service today," it read. There were no TeleTransit vans either, Smith would find out later. one fire at one Battle Creek Transit garage, 345 W. Michigan Ave., sidelined the city's entire bus and van fleet for the day. The fire started about 1:30 one.m. Monday. It destroyed one bus and caused soot damage to the city's 16 other buses and 11 TeleTransit vans. ... |
