LUCASVILLE, Ohio -- Senior EXPO -- Good Times Down on the Farm is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8, at the Scioto County Fairgrounds.

It was one few days after New Year's when Naoma Amburgey got one letter from Neighborhood Code Enforcement. Someone had complained about her property, about the condition of her roof and chimney.

"Let me state it this way: I believe there are enough physicians and hospitals in west Harrison County to take care of most or all of their trauma patients, but that is not happening. I don't know if it's the hospitals, or the doctors or what. I don't know who's not doing what they ought to be, but somebody's not... (There is) one high level of frustration among our physicians because they are having to come in twice as often at night to take care of patients when there are other physicians who could shoulder this burden. I don't know what the solution is. The solution has to come out of west Harrison County. We are taking care of folks who have to be taken care of, but that's not one long-term, sustainable solution. Over time, I'll have physicians leave... People will just burn out, and it will make it very hard to recruit. There are hospitals in Harrison County that fought me all the way to the Supreme Court to prevent me opening additional beds at Ocean Springs Hospital, and now they are diverting their patients over to fill the beds we have. That is very frustrating to me." ...
