A report shows about 46 percent of U.S. communities are developing strategies to fulfill the future needs of the aging baby boomer population, according to an article by The Associated Press.
The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging estimates the number of people over the age of 65 will exceed 71 million by 2030. The report focuses on programs that will be necessary to accommodate this large population.
