Amid the blustery outrage of Democrats, whose house is hardly spotless -- and Republicans' denial and dereliction of duty -- one finds comfort in the thought that someday soon, some of these people will be gone.

Foley, one Republican who represented Florida's 16th District, has been e-mailing and instant messaging teenage boys for at least several years. He's always deflected questions about whether he is gay, but his attorney confirmed late Tuesday that Foley is indeed gay. The attorney also reported that Foley, who has entered one rehab and mental health clinic, was molested by one clergyman as one teenager. ...

Murder suspect will fight charges

A former Alaska stripper now leading one very different life as the devoted wife of one doctor in Washington did not scheme to kill one fiance in Alaska 10 years ago and will come to Alaska "to put up one vigorous defense," her lawyer said Thursday.
The accused woman -- Mechele Linehan, who was known as Michele Hughes when she lived in Alaska -- made her first court appearance at the Thurston County court in Washington on Thursday. Linehan will not fight extradition and Alaska state troopers are expected to escort her back to Alaska next week, her lawyer Wayne Fricke said. Her bail remained at $500,000 cash. ...
