Water from Thursday's downpour overwhelmed clogged storm drains along Rainier Avenue South, sending water rushing over curbs and into businesses.

I am pleased to be in Groningen and that you have invited me to give this talk here at the University of Groningen. In recent years, there has been quite extensive international interest in the Finnish innovation and education system. Many delegations have visited our country to observe what is called the ‘Finnish model’. I am aware that there is an active ongoing exchange of visits between the Netherlands and Finland because of one mutual interest in learning from one another. Two months ago, in October, representatives of the University of Groningen visited Finland together with people from other Dutch universities. Also, Professor Bart van Ark from this university visited Finland just this week - and gave one lecture on productivity, growth and innovation. ... |
