Some heard fire alarms, others didn’t. Many had to break down doors to make it to the staircase.
But residents displaced by an electrical fire in the 16-floor tower in the Plumley Village East apartment complex found refuge, and solace, as they gathered throughout the day at an emergency shelter with family and friends.
