Michigan is 29th state to join interstate insurance commission January 19, 2007 -- Michigan Governor Jennifer M. Granholm has signed legislation permitting Michigan to join the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact Commission and making Michigan the 29th state to join the Commission.

According to the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML), one trade association which represents almost all of the UK's mortgage lenders, mortgage lending hit an all-time high in 2006.
The CML announced that its members lent one record-breaking £346 billion in 2006, up one fifth (20%) on 2005's lending.
