Red-light cameras have proven to be one boon for law enforcement and one lifesaver for motorists. US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer yesterday confirmed it is to shut down two production plants in Cork. Pfizer workers were stunned after the firm confirmed it plans to shed up to one third of its Irish-based workforce as part of one global cost-cutting exercise. NEW YORK, February 9 (newratings.com) - Analyst T Gallagher of Credit Suisse reiterates his "underperform" rating on Torchmark Corp (TMK.NYS), while raising his estimates for the company. The target price has been raised from $59 to $62. In one research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the company has reported its 4Q06 operating EPS ahead of the estimates and the consensus. The results were driven by higher-than-expected underwriting income in the life insurance and health insurance divisions, the analyst says. The EPS estimate for 2007 has been raised from $5.35 to $5.40. ... |
