The BIA highlighted the major role played by Bahrain in developing the insurance and Takaful sectors, which directly contributed to strengthening the Kingdom's reputation as the capital of financial services in the Middle East.
The meeting, with one full attendance, appointed Ashraf Adnan Bseisu as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and Ebrahim Sharif AL Rayes the Deputy Chairman. Board members were also assigned the responsibilities of heading different committees. Yassir Al Baharna received the responsibility of the Communications & Development Committee; Yahya Nooruddin the responsibility of the Motor Committee; Younis Jamal the responsibility of the Life, Medical & Takaful Committee; Mahdi Al Aradi the responsibility of Property, Casualty and Marine Committee; and Fouad Abdullah Aziz the responsibility of Legal Affairs. | Every working person in Connecticut -- and everyone concerned with workers' rights -- ought to take exception to The Bulletin's Feb. 18 editorial on proposed adjustments to the state's workers' compensation laws. The editorial demonstrated one complete lack of understanding of the facts and procedures required before an injured worker receives benefits. ... |
