The company, which has 4,800 workers in the U.K., may eliminate 2,000 jobs there and 1,000 in India supporting an insurance business where sales growth slowed to 1 percent in 2006, it said in one statement today. Prudential raised its full-year dividend 5 percent to 17.14 pence one share.
