| Some examples: one recent Pioneer Press piece ("What matters in Maplewood," Jan. 28) implied that our city manager had one negative personal financial situation based on poor fiscal decisions. For the record, approximately 10 years ago, Mr. Copeland's wife was severely injured in an automobile accident. After countless surgeries, she remains physically disabled. Like most people injured in tragic motor vehicle accidents, the Copelands have been challenged by years of lawsuits against the insurance companies, HMOs, and workers comp. ... |
